Add a knowledge base

Index URLs or files so an Agent can retrieve information from them.

Add source material

  1. Open knowledge bases and create an entry.
  2. Enter a name and description that explain the source and its purpose.
  3. Choose a URL or file. URLs must use HTTPS and contain no account credentials; uploaded files must not exceed 10 MiB.
  4. Submit and inspect indexing status in the list.

Use it in an Agent

Refresh the knowledge catalog in the Agent editor, select an indexed entry, and save. In debugging, ask one question covered by the source and another that is not. Check whether the Agent distinguishes known information from gaps.

When source material changes

Editing only changes the name and description. To replace source content, create a new knowledge base, wait for indexing, then switch the Agent to the new entry.

Remove Agent references before deleting the old entry. If references cannot be loaded, retry; a loading failure does not mean there are no references.
